Our son was struggling with the transition to High School and he was concerned that he may have some underlying issues such as ADHD.  Mr Stock met with me to discuss the process and potential outcomes before meeting with my son.  The evaluation process was quite rigorous and yielded some very useful, meaningful results.  The outcome was that there did not appear to be any serious issues.  More importantly, we identified a couple of areas where my son did indeed have some differences in his learning strengths and weaknesses.  This was highly valuable to us.  My son is much more at ease with his relationship to learning and school and has actually improved his performance since our working with Allen.  Having a better understanding of what makes him tick gave him confidence to tackle learning-related obstacles himself.  My wife and I view this as a very positive outcome to this process and we enjoyed working with Mr Stock.  Well worth the effort.  Bill...father of 15 year old.

"When I was looking to get examined for ADHD I was originally referred to a psychology department of a big name clinic. The appointment was over a month away just for the initial consultation. I didn't have time to wait this long so I sought out another option and ran into Allen who was able to get me in the very next week.   Allen did some very thorough testing, and helped me discover not only that I did have ADHD, but that there were other learning disabilities I was dealing with.  He came up with a comprehensive report of findings and strategies to deal with my disposition.  All this was done in less than 1 months time! I will not hesitate to refer others to Allen. -------- I’m a mid 20’s college senior at the U of MN.  I’ve had ADHD since I was a child and struggled with inattention and hyperactivity. I recently ran into a problem when I asked for accommodations on the GED exam.  I went through my insurance and completed a comprehensive evaluation at a large county mental health center that was billed to my insurance carrier at over $3000.  The report that was written was terrible and really hurt my case.  I was referred to Allen Stock by the Disabilities Services office at the U of MN.  Allen reviewed the previous testing and my history.  We discussed options that might help.  Allen was very honest about the advantages and disadvantages of each option, how much it would cost and which option would give me the best value.  In the end, I elected to have Allen write a summary letter outlining how I was eligible for accommodations on the GED exam. He also coached me on other information that might help support my request.  I haven’t heard back yet.  But no matter what the result, Allen’s help has given me my best shot to receive the support I need to give my best on the GED  exam.  Thank you. We brought our 19 year old daughter to see Allen for evaluation of Asperger's Disorder.  Allen listened closely to our concerns and developed an assessment plan to address our daughter's needs.  As difficult as it was to hear the news our daughter has the disorder, we were comforted by Allen's knowledge and willingness to take the extra time to assist us with implementing recommendations.  Thank you Allen.

We were referred to Allen by a friend of ours.  Our 15 year old son receives special education services but he continues to fall further and further behind his classmates in reading and writing.  The school recently tested our son and said he wasn't eligible to receive further services at school.  Allen reviewed our son's history and testing results. He coached us on how to approach the school for accommodations for our son and helped us identify community based options available to help our son improve his academic skills.  Michelle-parent

I am a college sophomore at St. Thomas University.  I contacted Allen because I was on academic probation.  I wasn't sure why.  Allen completed testing that showed my reading comprehension was really low.  The testing results helped me work with our Disabilities Services office to get me extra help and get off academic probation.  Andy, college student

I am a Disabilities Services  Specialist at a local private college.  I contacted Allen to help us identify how to help a particular student that was really struggling.  Allen was able to help us identify how to best assist the student and implement a plan that will maximize the student's success.  He also provided training to our office personnel that really helped us understand different tests.
